Download My Screen Saver

You can download a copy of my screen saver which can be set to display one of these images. Multiple copies of the selected image will float around your screen bouncing of its edges and each other. You can specify the number of images to display as well as their size and their speed. (The source code for this screen saver is available in my Visual Basic 6.0 Area.)

If you have already the VB6 runtime installed, you can just download the .scr file to your windows folder.

To Install the Screen Saver:

1) Download the screen saver and unzip it.

2) Close all running applications.

3) Using Explorer, navigate to the folder you downloaded the screen saver into.

4) Double Click on TheScarms.exe to extract the screen saver.

5) Double Click on Setup.exe to begin the install process.

6) Click OK on the Welcome screen and follow the prompts.

7) Make sure your Windows folder is selected when asked where to install to.

8) Read TheScarms.txt file in your Windows folder.

To Setup the Screen Saver:

1) Right click on your desktop and select Properties.

2) Select the Screen Saver tab.

3) From the screen saver drop down select TheScarms Screen Saver.

4) Click on the Settings button as you would configure any screen saver.

Passwords:

If your current screen saver is password protected my screen saver will prompt you for a password.  However, it does not recognize the Windows password and uses its own password scheme.  Just click OK to dismiss the password prompt. To set a new password, click the Password button and proceed as you normally would.
