Submit Code/Articles to TheScarms
| Sharing Your Code and Articles
|
When you submit code or articles to TheScarms you retain copyright of your
article or code. You also give TheScarms permission to use it in a fair manner
and also permit other developers to use the sourcecode associated with your
articles in their own applications provided they do not remove your copyright
notices or take credit for your work.
TheScarms does not accept time limited, shareware or binary only contributions.
All code submitted must be available for use without registration or licence
fees and without time restrictions, and all applications or binaries submitted
must contain source code.
You are more than welcome to submit code that was submitted to another site
provided you own the code.
To share your code, you need to:
-
Write a description of your code stating what it is, what it does, how it does
it, and how to use it
-
Talk about any problems you had to overcome
-
Comment your code
-
Include a screen shot if applicable
-
Create a small, working, sample application to demonstrate the code if
necessary. The sample must be complete and must include anything it needs to
run.
-
Zip everything up (source code, completed template file, any other
documentation) into a single zip file and e-mail it to
TheScarms.
You can download a template page to go by
(click the link and when the template displays, view its source, then save it).
Then just fill in the blanks.
TheScarms will reformat your code to take on a standardized look, post it, and
give you the credit.
